Leslie serves in two roles at Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care where she’s worked since 2014. Her first, role is as a pediatrician providing urgent, emergent and non-urgent care for her patients. Additionally, since 2020, she has also serves as assistant Medical Director providing oversight for the development and delivery of medical educational activities for the 15 clinics located in San Antonio and Dallas area.
Leslie also established a consulting practice in 2014 providing expert opinion on medical necessity and standard of care determinations for private businesses and expert testimony on childhood disability cases filed through the Social Security Office of Disability Adjudication and Review.
Leslie attended Southwestern University and was commissioned in the United States Air Force shortly after her graduation in 1989. While commissioned she attended University of Texas Health Science Center under the DoD Health Professions Scholarship Program. After earning her MD in 1993 Leslie attended the Pediatric Internship and Residency program at Wilford Hall Medical Center, Lackland AFB TX.
Leslie’s 21-year Air Force career provided her many challenging and rewarding assignments. Her last assignment as Chief of Clinical Quality for Air Force Medical Operating Agency brought her back to her hometown of San Antonio where she retired in 2014. Leslie and her husband (also retired USAF) have four children living in Texas, Colorado and California. She enjoys hiking, woodworking and traveling.
