Partner / Executive Wealth Manager

Rusty is a Partner and Executive Wealth Manager with Genesis Wealth Management. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and holds the FINRA Series 7 and 66 registrations, held by LPL Financial, as well as life, accident and health insurance licenses. He has also qualified for five other financial designations that allow him to specialize in more complex areas of financial planning.

Rusty serves as the primary trusted advisor for a select group of individuals and families. He works closely with his clients to develop and monitor their personalized financial strategy. Rusty understands that not all clients share the same knowledge regarding the various aspects of financial planning. He draws on his extensive knowledge and experience to identify clients’ needs and continually educate them as their lives and the economy evolve. He specializes in comprehensive financial planning by working personally with each client to create an overall financial strategy that encompasses:

Prior to joining Genesis Wealth Management, Rusty worked as a Senior Wealth Manager with USAA, a Fortune 100 company. During Rusty’s nearly 10 years with USAA, he provided comprehensive wealth management services to USAA’s high net-worth families.

Rusty earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, where he was an outfielder on the baseball team. He earned his Master of Business Administration in finance from the Bill Munday School of Business at St. Edward's University in Austin. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and is passionate about continuing to educate himself to better serve his clients.

In his spare time, Rusty spends time with his wife, Laci, son, Westin, & daughter, Desiree. He enjoys travelling, golfing at Spanish Oaks, fishing and the theatre.
